About
Erica Schrag is an enterprise communications executive specializing in integrated communications leadership, owned and earned media strategy, and organizational design for complex, mission-driven organizations.
Her career took shape in integrated communications at Edelman, Publicis Groupe, and 22squared, where she directed campaigns across PR, owned media, content, social, digital, and broadcast for clients including AdventHealth, Verizon, Coca-Cola, Chick-fil-A, Publix, Georgia-Pacific, L.L. Bean, Fidelity, and the Belize Tourism Board. She helped found Publicis Groupe's social content practice. In a parallel consulting practice, she advised C-suite leaders at Fortune 500 companies on communications strategy, owned media architecture, and digital ecosystems.
Erica moved client-side to build enterprise communications functions from the ground up. At Big Bend Hospice she recruited and led a 12-person department from inception, serving as organizational spokesperson and directing a full rebrand, regional expansion, and crisis communications strategy. She currently leads enterprise communications for Empath Health, Florida's largest nonprofit hospice network, serving as primary communications advisor to C-suite leadership on brand positioning, reputation management, crisis preparedness, and owned and earned media strategy across a statewide system of care brands.
Her work sits at the intersection of strategic communications, owned media strategy, brand architecture, and organizational design, with particular depth in healthcare, issues management, and complex decentralized organizations.
